The callous and unpatriotic rumours spread by these enemies of State are, to say the least, despicable, deplorable and highly condemnable by all well meaning Nigerians as they are intended to cause pandemonium among the general public.

3.    For the purpose of emphasis, the Nigerian Army does not and will never carry out its medical outreaches or vaccination exercises for that matter in Schools. MONKEYPOX SCARE: SCHOOLS IN RIVERS STATE OF NIGERIA BESIEGED BY PANICKY PARENTS.

Monkeypox infection.
In Rivers State Nigeria this morning, schools were seen besieged by panicky parents scampering to withdraw their children over a rumour that was rife that Nigerian Soldiers were going from school to school injecting school children with the dreaded Monkeypox virus.
Both primary and secondary schools witnessed an influx of parents and guardians who seemed so apprehensive and jittery about their children being injected with the Monkeypox virus.
Sequel to this unfounded rumour, all public and some private schools in Alakahia, Diobu, Rumuosi, Igwuruta, Rumuomasi Woji, were empty as parents and guardians trooped in to withdraw their children and wards from schools.
The Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 6 Division, Colonel Aminu Iliyasu said that the rumour were a mere fallacy, though, the Army planned a medical outreach as part of their contribution to the society but it has really not commenced.
Contributing to the uncertainty that has eveloped the state, the commissioner for Education, Tamunosisi Gogo-jaja over the radio Frequency Modulation 92.3 in Port Harcourt appealed to parents and guardians to remain calm and not to panick because it is a mere rumour.
He however, advised parents and guardians not to withraw their children from schools again because no immunization is going on by the Nigerian Army and moreover, such activity cannot take place without the permission of the state government.

KIDNAPPERS DOZED OFF AFTER ENJOYING THEMSELVES WITH THE HOLY COMMUNION THEY FOUND IN A PRIEST HOUSE.

A priest was having his dinner on that fateful day that kidnappers stealthily crept into his house. They blindfolded him, blocked his eardrum so that he wouldn't eavesdrop on their conversation.
Reverend Father Timothy Nwanja  was abducted alongside his personal cook in his own car to an unknown destination.
What began on Sunday night in his residence at St. Mary's Parish Okpokueze Nkomoro community, Imoha Development Center of Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria, took a dramatic turn as the abducted Priest escaped from the uncompleted building he was kept.
The kidnappers who actually made a merry with the Holy Communion they found in  the Priest's house, slept off, which gave him the opportunity to escape.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Loveth Odah, the Ebonyi Police Command Public Relations Officer, however, said on Monday that the Police responded on gathered intelligence report which prompted their raid on the kidnapper's den.
According to Loveth Odah, one of the suspect was arrested and the rest two were still at large and manhunt has begun on their capture.
